Samartzis - Estate
The Samartzi family owned a vineyard of 200 acres in the areas of Vagion & Askri, in the province of Thiva in the prefecture of Viotia. By the end of March 2013, the estate was expanded with an additional 120 acres of old vineyards. The cultivation of the vines is done with integrated input and management program and aims in the production of high quality raw materials, following all safety standards. Varieties that are planted are the white Kontoura, Malagouzia, Roditis, Savvatiano, Assyrtiko and red Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache Rouge and Mouchtaro. The total quantity of production of the winery is about 160.000 bottles, PGI Thiva or PGI Sterea Ellada and about 50,000 bottles of varietal wines without a geographical indication. The vinification and bottling of wines made at the premises of the estate in Askri and is certified with ISO 22000:2005.
