Navarino - Vineyards
Navarino vineyards company releases wines produced, under the guidance of skilled associates, from grapes coming from the 550 acre vineyards of the Estate. Giorgos Skouras is the oenologist of the Estate. The ideal microclimate of the region favors the vineyards due to the altitude, the temperature variations and the moisture index. The result is the production of high quality wines which bring out the traits of the Messinian soil. The wines under the label line “1827”- taking its name from the historical Battle of Navarino – are a white wine coming from the varieties Chardonnay and Roditis and a red one, coming from Cabernet Sauvignon. The “Kotyle” line - inspired by the “Cup of Nestor”, a cup used, during antiquity, for wine – releases a white wine from Chardonnay. The traditional tsipouro – coming from the combination of Ugni Blanc and Roditis Alepou (White Fox) – completes the Navarino Vineyards brand name which possesses a distinguished position in the lists of Greek restaurants.
