Lantides Winery
In the heart of Nemea, on an incredible territoire with hills, forests, mountains and valleys lie the 100 acre vineyards of Lantides Estate, in the regions of Skoteini and Asprokampos. The uniqueness of the plots is due to the varieties planted, Cabernet, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon, selected by the owner and oenologist of the Estate, Panos Lantidis. On the calcium clay soil of Asprokampos, on one of the highest mountains of the region, at an altitude of 650 meters, 40 acres of land, are planted with Agiorgitiko, Cabernet and Merlot. In the region of Skoteini, which is very close to Asprokampos, in a plain located at an altitude of 650 meters, spread 60 acres of vine plots, where white varieties are being grown. It is, also, planned to constantly rejuvenate the vineyard and apart from the varieties of Moschofilero, Assyrtiko, Malagousia and Sauvignon it is intended to cultivate new ones, mainly Greek, such as Kydonitsa, Rhodites and Avgoustiatis. The prevailing low temperatures of the area favor the growth of white varieties enhancing their aromatic potential and good acidities. The winery was founded in 2000, in Xerokampos, by the Rock of Panagia and is equipped with the necessary machinery. For now, the winery has a total capacity of 180,000 bottles per year and the aim is to reach 225,000 bottles. 60 % of total production is being exported.
