Avantis - Estate

The history of the Estate begins in the 19th century, soon after the foundation of Greek State, when Anastasios Mountrichas bought a land of 100 acres. The 200 acre, nowadays, vineyard owned by Avantis Estate, is located in the region of Afrati, in Central Evia, on steep slopes of high inclination and southeastern sun exposure, at an altitude of 250 – 500 meters. The cultivated varieties are Malagouzia, Assyrtiko, Muscat, Sauvignon blanc, Gewurztraminer, Viognier, Black Kountoura, Syrah, Grenache rouge, Merlot, Mourvedre. The wines are produced by the oenologists Apostolos Mountrichas and his wife Lenga.
