Gatsios - Distillery

In Istanbul, at the crossroads of West and East, the crossroads of cultures and tastes, Thanasis Gatsios is "initiated" into the aromatic world of herbs and the secrets of traditional distillation. In 1878, Thanasis Gatsios returns to the historic village of Sirrako Artas and establishes the first distillery in the region of Epirus. Today, the fourth generation of the Gatsiou family continues and in 2007 they acquired new privately owned facilities on the banks of the Arachthos river.
