Avantes - Distillery

The history of the distillery starts from 1963 when it acquires its official license. The distillery was located in the center of Halkida city near the beach. In this busy meeting point the Halkidians enjoyed ouzo, wine, cognac and vermouth produced by the distillery. Over time, the distillery was systematically involved with the production and standardization of ouzo, liqueur and cognac with the ΆVANTES label in privately owned business premises at Drosia area just outside Halkida. In 2005, the distillery ΆVANTES fully modernized its facilities and was handed to the second generation. The daughters of Vasileios Katsos - Distillery founder - Hara (oenologist) and Katerina (economist) continue the family tradition by creating innovative products with consistency, expertise and enthusiasm. The philosophy of ΆVANTES distillery is that the Greek spirits should offer a taste experience to win the most demanding consumer with their quality and naturalness.
