Douloufakis Winery Muscat Amphora 2021
The vinification of Muscat Amphora by Douloufakis estate was carried out in a clay amphora of 250-300 liters, through the extraction process, without yeast addition, with a minimum of sulfite. After 3 months of extraction, separation was performed and the wine remained in the amphora for another 2 months. It then matured for 4 months in stainless steel tanks. Bottled unfiltered so it has noticeable turbidity and a possible thin layer of sediment.
Intense orange color with light pale yellow highlights. The aromatic character is intense, with floral aromas, apricot compote, sweet bergamot, dried orange and nuts to star, with hints of herbs and honeycomb to follow. Tight and full on the palate, with lively acidity, gentle tannins and long lasting aftertaste.
