Karamolegos Winery Kamaras 2020
The Karamolegos Estate Kamaras wine is from a unique old vineyard with vines over 150 years old, located in the southern part of the island, at the Akrotiri region. Akrotiri region produces rare and excellent quality grapes. Classic white vinification is followed, after a short pre-fermentation with cold maceration aiming to bring out the unique characteristics of Santorini terroir. It then matures with its noble lees for 2 years in a clay amphora. It then remains in the cellar for a short period of time enhancing the complexity and formality of the wine.
The color of the wine is golden yellow. In the aromatic characteristics we have a complex bouquet of musklemon, apricot, pear, white-fleshed peach, with white pepper and botanical elements complementing its character, while nutty and yeasty notes are framed by subtle notes of minerality.
Full bodied and elegant mouthfeel with a beautiful oiliness that is excellently combined with the high acidity and leads us to a pleasant long-lasting aftertaste.
