Description: Vostilidi, also known as Goustolidi, is primarily associated with Kefalonia, being the only one with a Protected Designation of Origin. However, it is also cultivated in small quantities on the other Ionian islands, such as Corfu, Ithaca, Zakynthos and also in the Peloponnese. The history of the variety goes back to ancient times, so the legend has Kefalos from Attica (or Phocis) planting the precious vine in Kefalonia. Its cultivation is also mentioned in the Latin literature from the 16th century during the Venetian occupation and, later, in the Greek literature of the 19th century. Vostilidi gives a light golden-green color, with mineral acidity and special aromas that include citrus fruits, stone fruits.
