Description: Muscat of Alexandria was planted in Greece at the beginning of the 20th century. Its love of heat helped it to acclimatize perfectly in the country, giving wonderful sweet and dry wines. The volcanic soils of Lemnos are the prime place where the gifts of the variety unfold. There, after all, Muscat of Alexandria gives the PDO sweet wines. Muscat of Limnos gives the dry PDO Limnos. Dry wines have rose and yellow unripe fruits such as grapefruit and lemon as their base aromas. They are characterized by high acidity and are usually of moderate alcoholic strength. Sweet wines have intense flavors of nuts, exotic fruits, honey and grape.
