Description: Kotsifali is usually mixed with the Mandilaria variety and this is due to the lack of stability of its color. This variety, widely grown in Crete, gives PDO wines in a blend of these two varieties. Varietal vinification are only a few. In those cases, it expresses with transparent, red-brick red color, nose with fresh red fruit flavors such as cherry and plum, medium volume orally, with good acidity and a short aging potential.
