Description: It comes from the island of Zakynthos and is also cultivated in western Peloponnese, while it is cultivated in a small area on the island of Samos too. This is a rare but extremely gifted variety of the Greek vineyard. With modern, attentive vinification it gives, soft and elegant wines, delicious, with aromas of black fruit, pepper and chocolate. Aged beautifully, acquiring complex personality. Most commonly it is found in blends with other varieties such as Mavrodaphne.
