UWC Samos Solera
Samos Solera is a vin de liqueur of the Samos Wine Cooperative, from 5 different crops, with an average of 10 years that is bottled in 375ml bottles. The Solera system has its origins in communicating containers. These are groups of barrels that communicate with each other and are refilled each time a portion of wine is removed from the last barrel. Thus, wines of different yields are mixed, which are selected so that the final result has organoleptic stability. The barrels are never completely emptied (wine is bottled from the bottom row of the barrel array). With this system the aging of the final product is accelerated faster.
The color is light tile. The nose features aromas of coffee, chocolate, cocoa, petimezi, honey, on a background of dried raisins. Great on the palate, with an acidity that emphasizes complexity and an attractive viscous sensation that leads us to a long aftertaste.
