Dos Maderas 5+5 PX

Dos Maderas rums are the study of contrast, with two different styles coming together to create something different from both. The rums are finished with the so-called Spanish style Solera, aged in ex-Sherry barrels. The 5 + 5 PX is a "double aged" rum, although it could be considered triple. Rumas from Barbados and Guyana mature for five years in the Caribbean before being transported to Jerez, where they are further matured in Dos Cortados Palo Cortado Sherry barrel solera systems (exactly the same as the 5 + 3) and then also in Pedro Ximénez barrels.
