Ktima Kir Yianni Agathoto Rose 2023
A small vineyard at the Gastra of Naoussa is behind this story. Up on the hill where, as they say, it never hails, this special piece of land was cultivated, with patience and care, by Mr. Thomas Karanatsios, caretaker of Kir Yianni Estate for almost 50 years. The climate of the area is Mediterranean with continental influences and it is characterized by several rains in winter and mild drought in summer. The selective manual harvest allows the selection of the healthiest bunches for AGATHOTO. The wine is transferred to 228 liter oak barrels and tanks where it stays for fermentation for 20 days. It then matures in wooden barrels-tanks of 2 tons for 12 months.
In the glass we can see a salmon color with orange highlights. In the aromatic character we discover red fruits, lavender, herbs, with the vanilla notes coming after. In the mouth the body is medium, with accentuated acidity, subtle tannins and a lasting aftertaste.
