Siteia Wines

One of the oldest terroirs in Greece is the vineyard of Sitia, previously being particularly extensive. Most vineyards are shrinking significantly and most of the wines we find here are of spatial vinification. Vines start from the coast of the Cretan sea, reach at altitudes up to 600 meters and then descend to the coast of Libyan Sea on the south side of the island. The varieties which are, mostly, cultivated here are: Liatiko for the production of red dry or sweet wines with Designation of Origin Sitia and the white varieties Vilana and Thrapsathiri, for the production of white P.D.O. Sitia.

Transparent ruby red color with brown hues, tobacco and dried tomato on the nose. Mouth with good structure and balance, filled with crushed tannins and delicious aftertaste where barrel reigns.
