Fthiotida wines

In the basin of Fthiotida, where the capital is Lamia, the topography is complex, with plenty of hills, mountains and plains, the climate is mostly warm, but with some cold winds coming mostly from the mountains of Pindos and Parnassos. Plenty of local and international varieties are cultivated in the area, such as Roditis, Assyrtiko, Athiri, Robola, Sauvignon and Semillon. More specifically, in the area of Lamia, emphasis has been given on the varieties Cabernet, Syrah, Chardonnay, Merlot and Malagouzia.
