Epanomi
Seaside suburb of Thessaloniki, Epanomi has a history of viticulture and wine production, which goes back approximately 1500 years, when during the Byzantine period was characterized as a known area of vineyards. The climate is Mediterranean, with mild winters and hot summers, but the sea breeze and sandy soils favor the cultivation of both traditional, local varieties Mavroudis Mavrotragano, Limnio, Assyrtiko and Malagouzia, and the foreign varieties planted in recent years, such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Viognier, Syrah, Merlot and Grenache rouge.
