Ktima Kir Yianni Xinomavro Single Vineyard 1999

In 1970 Kir Yianni Estate planted block #7 of its vineyard with Xinomavro. The vineyard is located at 255 meters altitude with a 16% slope, northeast orientation and clay soil.

The fermentation of Xinomavro 1999 was done in two 3.5 ton oak vats, where it remained for 11 months. Aging continued for another 8 months in French oak barrels of 225 lt and 500 lt.

In the glass we find a deep dark gray color. In the aromatic characteristics we find black fruit jam such as blackberry, sweet cherry, rose, with notes of black olive and leather following. In the mouth it is medium-bodied, balanced, with structure, velvety tannins, with the acidity remaining high and the aftertaste long.
