Zacharioudakis Winery Orthi Petra (Standing Rock) Red 2016

Zacharioudakis organic wines have gained a lot of attention since they seem to optimally express Cretan terroir, showing its characteristics in both the white and red vinification. Pure deep purple color. Aromas of black ripe fruit such as plums and black berries, vanilla notes, chocolate and sweets that "announce" the presence of a barrel since this wine has matured for 5 months in American and French oak barrels. The mouth confirms with flavors of black chocolate, vanilla, tobacco and pepper notes. The combination of Cabernet Sauvignon which has strong and stylish tannins with Kotsifali, which is "softer and quieter", results to a full body with rouded tannins, greasy notes and a tasty aftertaste.
