Jima Winery Âge d’Or Day Eight 2020

Jima winery is a family business founded by oenologist Panagiotis Jima and his wife Christy Karagiannidou. The agronomist Nikos Tzimas, brother of Panagiotis, has taken care of the vines. The winery was designed by the architect Athanasios Stergioulis and is located on the farm next to their family home, in the village of Kalomodia in Arta. The emblem of the winery is the stork, which faithfully visits them every spring, moving among the vines, looking for its food.

In the glass we have a bright ruby ​​color. On the nose we find rich aromas of red fruits such as cherries and plums, nicely balanced with secondary elements, sweet spices and toasted oak smoke. On the palate the tannins are velvety, beautifully worked, the alcohol is perfectly integrated and the lively acidity contributes to its fine structure and lingering aftertaste.
