Akritos Oinos Winery Adrestea 2020

The Akritos (unadulterated) Wines estate is based in the village of Revma in Western Lesvos and creates the label Adrestea, which means the inevitable. When there is a combination of many advantages and peculiarities, then something extraordinary cannot but be created. In Mirodies there is one of the rarest riparian forests in Southern Europe. The place of the usual oleanders found in the streams of our islands has been taken by the rare rhododendrons. Right here are the privately owned volcanic vineyards with the Hydiriotiko variety, at an altitude of 220 to 245 meters. The wine is traditionally vinified with only indigenous yeasts. In the glass we have a clear ruby color. On the nose we find intense aromas of red fruits, citrus peels, followed by hints of herbs. On the palate it is medium-bodied, with well-integrated tannins, high acidity and a long aftertaste.
